During his studies he received chamber music instruction from distinguished musicians including Tsugio Tokunaga, Hiroyuki Yamaguchi, Hakuro Mori, and Shigeo Neriki, and participated in masterclasses with renowned artists such as Daniel Shafran and Walter Nothas.

In 1994 he joined the NHK Symphony Orchestra, one of Japan’s leading orchestras. In 1999 he was selected as an Agency for Cultural Affairs Overseas Research Fellow, which enabled him to study in Germany with Walter Nothas at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich.
